I am an experienced Developer in Lower Saxony, Germany | Open-Source Advocate with NGO and Startup Background

I follow Development patterns and principles.

With years of experience in the software industry, I possess a deep understanding of client requirements and excel at delivering them to the development team in an organized and efficient manner. Throughout my career, I have collaborated with individuals and NGOs from diverse locations such as Yemen, Germany, the Netherlands, and beyond. This global exposure has enriched my knowledge and expertise in C#, Unity, and Python, allowing me to implement them effectively while adhering to sound software engineering principles.

One of my notable accomplishments includes serving as the Lead Developer for several Serious Games developed for Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit. In addition to my proficiency in Unity and C#, I have honed my skills in implementing SOLID, KISS, DRY, and Lightweight principles. By following strict naming conventions that promote team cohesion, I ensure seamless collaboration and maintain code consistency.

What I Have Done

I have versatile experience in many fields, the programming language doesn’t matter to me, what matters are the programming principles.

Unity/C#

I have created more than 10 Serious Games with Unity, C#, and Photon Multiplayer. Most of them are published on Google Play.

Node.js

Created a project in express.js, customized video servers for clients using an open-source Youtube alternative called NodeTube

Odoo

Installation, configuration, customization, and the creation of custom modules for clients in our Linode/Hetzner private servers. I have also contributed to the Source Code.

PHP Laravel

The creation of a PDF certificate system as well as the final year project making a shipment information system with Laravel framework for the biggest tobacco company in Yemen.

Django

Implemented user registration through Unity in C# to Django using the REST framework to gather data in our Linux server.

Other

Created and designed a physical gamebox and then mass produced 500 of them and distributed them around Yemen with the fund of GIZ.

Lead Developer for the 8th and 9th Yemeni peace building mobile game which the 8th game is an online multiplayer game for the GIZ and EU.

As a Consultant for the Human Resource MIS, my tasks include:
• Analyzing the requirements, designing the system and developing it.
• Training employees and managers on how to use the system and collecting their feedback.

As a consultant in creating four Yemeni peace building mobile games, my responsibilities include:
• Support of the conceptualization and authoring in close cooperation with the GIZ teams in Europe, Egypt, and Yemen.
• Translating necessary documents from Arabic to English and opposite.
• Active participation and contribution of texts, ideas and comments either on-site or at the distance via online tools workshops.
• Participation and contribution with texts and ideas to the virtual cooperation activities of the project team.
• Active participation & contribution during feedback and testing stages.
• Making tutorials for the team about some aspects in the project.
• Developing and testing the apps with Unity game engine, C# and maintaining version control with CVS tools.
• Presenting the mobile games to the officers, donors and managers.

Volunteering Developer

Volunteered as a Developer and a Speaker in several events for more than three years, my responsibilities were a lot including:
• Hosted several Technology Awareness Day events, and the first Google DevFest in Yemen.
• Designed and developed a dynamic WordPress website including improving the SEO and setting professional emails.
• Developed an online certification system that imports events participants and their data from an online database and renders them as a PDF.
• Provided training and manuals for the team in several scenarios.
